The obsession with food in the modern world can often be a little overwhelming, but the real secret to living a full life without eating at least once a day is the right diet, according to an expert.
In her new book, Eat Your Way to Self-Esteem, dietitian and author Laura Gabor writes that the key to living an optimal life without food is to eat more.
“If you want to live a full and fulfilling life, you have to have a balanced diet, be eating as much as you can and have a healthy relationship with your body,” she told LiveScience.
“We’re going to be eating a lot less food over the next couple of decades, and you’ll be able to live with less.”
Gabor, who has also taught at universities and worked as a clinical nutritionist, says you don’t need to be a perfectionist about eating a certain amount of food to have optimal health.
“People need to think about how they are going to eat and whether it’s going to provide them with a positive health experience,” she said.
“You can eat what you want but you have a very small chance of actually getting a healthy response from your food.”
In a previous episode of the podcast, Gabor discussed how to eat a healthier and happier life without having to worry about food or the environment.
