Conservative social media accounts are not the only ones being targeted by conservatives in the election season.
Some conservative activists are using social media to promote conservative political causes.

That’s the message from conservative activist and author Mike Cernovich, who is now running for Congress in the Kansas City area.
He says his goal is to “liberate the social media space” by shutting down conservatives’ accounts and promoting more moderate political viewpoints.
He said social media platforms are not a safe space for conservatives and are used as a tool by progressives to “pursue their agenda.”
Cernovich said conservative Twitter accounts are “pushing the agenda” and “supporting a liberal agenda” to win.
Cernichtors tweets are being shared on the @GOP_Kans twitter account, a parody account.
The account has more than 10,000 followers.
His posts include “Praise be to the president” and a link to the GOP’s “Social Security page” which lists its recipients.
The accounts’ purpose is to highlight conservatives who support the president.
They also have an account for conservative activists and a page for “The Right to Live.”
Carmen Rauch, a professor at the University of Virginia, said conservatives use social media “to mobilize and to communicate with each other,” and to promote their own ideas.
Rauch said social-media platforms are more effective than political activism.
She said social networking can be a valuable tool for organizing protests and even as a vehicle for gaining support for political causes or political candidates.
She also said social networks are not “political platforms” and that their “primary purpose is social.”
The right-leaning blog The Blaze also has been targeted by conservative activists, with many of its posts removed from Twitter and blocked from Google+.
The site has received criticism from social media experts who say the conservative content is not authentic.
They say it is often misleading and not factual.
They said conservatives are using the site to promote themselves and promote conspiracy theories.
Twitter’s policies state that a user may not post a “propaganda or disinformation” tweet or post a false news story or link.
Twitter does not allow people to use a conservative account to spread misleading or false information about other conservative accounts.
